A spectacular high country journey that hugs the canyon walls following the 1880's gold mining trail down into Skippers Canyon and the famous Shotover River. Travelling through a region rich with gold mining history we cross the historic Skippers suspension bridge and visit Mt Aurum Homestead. Said by some to be more amazing than Milford Sound.
This is an adventurous and rugged off road journey following the historic dray road up the Arrow River to reach the once thriving settlement of Macetown.
